Unit 10 blog

Well this will be my last post because I am not much of a blogger! Kiana, my step-daughter, went to the dentist a couple of days ago for surgery. She was put under anesthia and was in there for 2 hours. The dentist/surgion guy was really nice. He explained everything that was going to happen before they took her back for the operation. Well it wasn't much of an operation, she just had four caps put over her teeth. So now she has a total of five caps in her mouth. It was either do them all at once or take 4 separate days off work to keep coming in for each one. She did really well for all that they did. She is also got to go back in a week for a check up. I also got her into an after school program where they will work with her and help her with her homework and all that stuff. Maybe they will do a better job at helping her with her A,B,C'S. I just get so frustrated with her because she only knows up to G. Gotta go talk to you later everyone!

Unit 9 Blog

This week I am filled with lots of things that are necessary to complete in 0rder to make my life easier. Finding daycare before and afterschool for a five year old. I hope to get all of this done today. I also have to go to court. I have a dozen of phone calls to make! Well I just made the important phone for daycare. It is right on school property and they take the kids over to kindergarten when it starts and picks them up when it ends. Now I will not have to worry about how she will get to and from school while me and dad are at work! This will work out great.
Tommorow Kiana has surgery on her teeth. They will be putting her under anesthia and doing all of the root canals and caps all in the same day. She has a lot of stuff wrong with her teeth. She just came to live with us in May and it was supposed to be temperary but turned out to be permenant. Her mother lives about four hours away and is having trouble paying bills. She is not sure what will happen with her living situation and doesn't want to put her daughter in the middle of all of that. Me and her father are happy to have her here for the school year and I would like it if she were to stay for the next school year as well!

unit 8

Today is the day that I get to spend with my family. We have chosen to go to the fair and see Ted Nugent. I am sure the kids will have lots of fun along with us. I had to borrow money for all of this to happen but I am sure it will be well worth it. My son has been getting on my nerves all morning, talk about terrible twos!!! Hitting his sister with everything and slamming doors. He just managed to do anything and everything that I tell him not to do. I am going to try a different route today and not tell him not to do anything and just time out when he does something wrong! I hope all goes well. He has just told me a 100 times that he is thirsty in the last 5 minutes so I am going to go get him something to drink before he dehydrates!

unit 7 blog

I am getting everything prepared for my step daughters first day of school. Taking her clothes shopping, hair cuts and of course she wanted her ears pierced! She is going to start her first day of kindergarten on August 30 and she can not wait, every day she asks if she can go to school yet. I have never done this before so it is very new to me and I know for next time that starting the preparation early, not two to three weeks before will be a lot more easier for me and less stressfull! I was not aware that so much goes into starting school. At least I will know this for when my son starts school in a few years or next year when she starts first grade.

Unit6 blog

William had his 2nd birthday and it was a blast! His cousin also had a birthday that was the next day so we just combined the two of them together and had the party at the park. It was so much fun! The kids played they even went down to the water and got wet. They were splashing water and trying to get me wet too! He got a new bike and a helmet that he always wants to wear. He got a cool bubble machine that blows a bunch of bubbles out, motorcycles and an iron man toy. He has already ran the batteries out of the thing!

The binkie

My son just turned 2 yesterday and I thought that it is time for him to give up his binkie. I have cut the end of the nipple off and gave it back to him. He puts it in his mouth and then looks up at me in total dissatisfaction. He takes it back out almost immediately. He shows it to me and all I can think of to say is the binkie is broke. So far I think that it will be working except for him whinning for his binkie. I hope that we don't break down and give him a unbroken one!

Unit 5

My son loves to go swimming and once he gets in he won't get out! He is almost 2 years old and will jump in the deep end with no fear! He still wears his life vest that makes him look like a turtle. As he jumps in he counts to three, jumps and then bobs back up to the top of the water. By the time I make him get out of the water his toes are wrinkled. That is how I like to spemd my nights with my son.
